Meet Dr. Keating

Paul Keating, DMD

I chose to be a dentist to help people maintain their oral health and, in some cases, change someone’s life by providing them with a smile they thought they had lost long ago or a smile they never thought they could have.

I appreciate the diversity of patients I see every day.  In my dental school interview I was asked how I knew I would be happy as a dentist for an entire career.  I replied that I was counting on the individuals on the other end of the teeth I work on to keep my days interesting.  That truly has been my experience.  In many cases, I come to know my patients, their families, and their lives.  Over the past 30 years, I have been very fortunate to meet many amazing people.

Education and Continuing Education

Born in Owen Sound, Ontario, I moved to Wilton as a seventh-grader in 1968 and attended Wilton High School. From there, I went on to graduate as a biology major from the University of Connecticut in Storrs. Following graduation, I earned my Doctorate of Dental Medicine University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in 1983. I completed a General Practice Residency at Southbury Training School.

It is my goal to provide my patients with the best options that the dental field has to offer. As a member of CEREC® Doctors and an ITI Implant Study Club, I keep up-to-date on the continually-evolving areas of dental implants and in the revolutionary technology of digitally-produced, single-appointment crown creation.

Outside the Office

I have three wonderful daughters, Meghan, Brigid, and Hannah, of whom I am very proud. I also have a dog named Marley and a cat named Stoffie. In my free time, I am an avid runner who somehow enjoys marathons and have used them to raise money for charities. I am also an amateur photographer and enjoy playing at the guitar.
